Over the past few months we have been working on developing an electronic version of Reflect to complement our new look alumni web site and enhance the suite of communications we offer to alumni.
The magazine has a simple format; features; news stories; information about events and links to an electronic version of the ever popular Where are they now?
The news will be updated every working day; the features refreshed quarterly; and information about events and the Where are they now? on an ongoing basis through the web interface.
We are aiming to provide current and topical news stories about Nottingham, the University and members of the alumni community from a range of sources, including press releases, Google alerts and contributions from you, the members of this community.
We love to follow the lives and careers of our students after graduation. We know the challenges after leaving Nottingham are many, and delight in hearing of your successes. Please do not hesitate to contact us and let us know what you are doing, wherever you are. Part of the beauty of an electronic magazine is that it can be enjoyed at the press of a button around the globe and doesn't have to rely on conventional and often quixotic postal services.
We also look forward to sharing with you news of Nottingham's advances. The University of Nottingham is currently ranked in the UK's Top 10 and the World's Top 70 universities by the Shanghai Jiao Tong (SJTU) and Times Higher (THES) World University Rankings.
It continues to provide innovative and top quality teaching, undertake world-changing research, and attract talented staff and students from 150 nations. Described by The Times as Britain's "only truly global university", it has invested continuously in award-winning campuses in the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia. Twice since 2003 its research and teaching academics have won Nobel Prizes. The University has also won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in both 2006 (International Trade) and 2007 (Innovation - School of Pharmacy).
We are proud to let you know our students are much in demand from 'blue-chip' employers. Winners of Students in Free Enterprise for three years in succession, and current holder of UK Graduate of the Year, they are accomplished artists, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, innovators and fundraisers. Nottingham graduates consistently excel in business, the media, the arts and sport. Undergraduate and postgraduate degree completion rates are amongst the highest in the United Kingdom.
